These works were inspired by author Patricia McKissack’s ability to share the struggles of being black in the south in a way that every child can understand and every adult can feel. Megan’s art shows how the fight for equality is etched into the hearts of the people and shared through their stories and songs. She works mostly in watercolors. You can see more of her work at the Art Crawl at Front Street Sign Company, 100 Front Street.
