WHAT: Two nights of fun! Friday night is the Young Author Event and Poetry Slam at Carpe Cafe, 115 Front Street from 6-8:30 p.m.
Saturday night is the art crawl –a free, family-friendly, self-guided tour of art from local artists in Smyrna, Tennessee’s Historic Depot District. PLUS wine tasting, live music, and storytelling from the Boro Storytellers! Restaurants and coffee shop just steps away!
WHEN: The Art Crawl is Saturday June 5th from 5:30 – 9 p.m.
WHERE: Opening remarks begin at Front Street Sign Company event space at 5:30 p.m. The entrance is located on the side of Front Street Sign Company at 100 Front Street, just across from the 101 Building. From there, stroll along Front Street and stop in any of the listed locations to see more art!
Front Street Sign Company Event Space – 5:30 -9 p.m. – Hear opening remarks from Wilma Gale McLean of the Rutherford County African American Heritage Society. Learn about author Patricia McKissack who was born in Smyrna, and our theme “Stories of Connection.” See art from local adult artists. Wine Tasting with Avian Glen 6-9 p.m. Storytelling from the Boro Storytellers at 7:30 p.m.
Assembly Hall, 110 Front Street – See art from local veterans here from 6-9 p.m. Wine Tasting with Big Creek Winery 6-9 p.m.
